Kevin Chaplin
Kevin is Annette's inspirator geweest om in 2010 de Stichting Ubuntu Nederland op te richten en sindsdien werken zij intensief samen. Op zeer bevlogen en persoonlijke wijze neemt Kevin ons mee in zijn storytelling over Ubuntu in zijn (werk)leven en zijn grenzeloze inzet voor de Amy Biehl Foundation.
Kevin M Chaplin
- Kevin grew up in KwaZulu Natal, spent 10 years in Gauteng before moving to Cape Town in 2000. He graduated with a BComm degree majoring in Accounts and Business Economics from UNISA as well as an Associate Diploma in Banking. He recently completed the UCT Graduate School of Business Executive Management Development Programme.
- AT the end of 2006 Kevin founded the South African Ubuntu Foundation, incorporating Business Development & Leadership, Business & Motivational Speaking, Entrepreneurship and The Ubuntu Festival. A few months later he also took over the Amy Biehl Foundation as Managing Director.
- He was previously Provincial Manager, First National Bank Western Cape and prior to that Sales and Service Director Cape Town, Director Finance, Human Resources & Admin FNB First Commerce Gauteng and National Industrial Relations Manager in Johannesburg.

- Voted top guest speaker at UCT for 2005
- Took the business of FNB Cape Town from the bottom 5 nationally in June 2001 to No 1 nationally in June 2004 in terms of Performance.
- Raised over R 30 million for various charities in the past 10 years.
- National sales winner of prizes to Austria, Reunion, Mauritius, Egypt, Kenya, Sun City, Far East and Victoria Falls in the SA Wildlife Society’s National Sales competitions over 4 years.
- He is married to Robyn and they have 2 daughters, Sarah and Kirsty. He enjoys quality time with his family, nature, game reserves, travel, reading as well as public speaking.
